Kimpachi Japanese Restaurant -SS17, Subang

Honestly speaking, when it comes a good Japanese meal, I would prefer ordering from a menu rather than fighting for the last piece of sashimi at the buffet table. Japanese cuisine- raw meat must be served freshest, fried food must be served at it's crunchiest and warm food must be served at the right temperature..true or not?

It has been quite a while since my last visit to a Japanese restaurant. X-T and I went for too many Japanese buffet this year which actually made him stayed away from Japanese food for for the time being. As for me.. I get a little cravings once in a blue moon. NOT for the buffet but from the Ala Carte menu....

Was at Wisma DiCor yesterday to tryout some kinky funky costumes with sister but ended up having dinner at Kimpachi Japanese Restaurant because the costume shop decided to close early to celebrate Hari Raya Haji! We were not very hungry, so this time, we thought of ordering some side dishes for dinner..

The lightings were dimmed and music was too soothing, sis and I almost feel asleep waiting for our food.

The handroll

Agedashi-dofu. I can't leave a Japanese restaurant without my dofu!

Popai something something... I can't remember the name.

Sister's cravings for chicken gazard.. definately not my cuppa tea!

Ordered a tiny chicken breast on scewer covered with cheddar on a bed of tomatoes that tasted like pasta sauce.

Japanese grilled eggplant.

Ending our meal with Japanese greentea ice cream. The taste was ok BUT it's not smooth at all. It's like chewing on ice crystals .

Yes, I like green tea ice-cream too. But not those that are 'served' with ice crystals, of course!
