Rice cooker that bakes!

YES! Besides being able to perform regular , quick cook, porridge and steam, this rice cooker "BAKES"! Ooo...I likey likey....

You're definately better than my OLD pot *no pun intended*

The rice cooker comes with a few cake recipes, I am trying out the banana cake recipe on my first attempt.

The mixed batter was poured into the nonstick rice pot (brushed with a little butter).

The recipe requires me to set the cake timer to bake for 50 minutes. *fingers crossed*

Exactly 50 minutes later... the fluffy and evenly baked banana cake was born and was removed from the nonstick pan without hassle. Woohoo!

I'm not sure about the taste yet because the cake is still cooling itself on the cake rack.

Time to claim my new glasses

Thank God for company benefits. Since working for my current company, I've been blessed with a decent amount of cash every year for my annual eye care. Since then, I've been changing new glasses once a year.

I used to be less daring and opt for the normal metal frame. X-T thinks that I'm turning my kitchen into gallery. Why? Well, it's because I love my kitchen appliances and utensils and I've lots of them haha! I've a bowls for consume soup, for creamy soups and stews. I've plates for Chinese dishes, steaks and even theme plates for festive seasons throughout the year. Lately, I started to collect salt shakers. ;p

What am I blabbing about?!? I'm talking about my car. You see, I'm leaving on a vacation starting this coming Thursday and nobody will be driving my car until my return. Do you agree with me that dust is more visible on dark colored vehicles? Anyway, I've decided to get customized
car covers for my car. After a nice car wash next Wednesday, my car will be covered until I return from vacation.

Texty makes editing as easy as ABC

As a amateur Blogger like myself, I tend to edit my blog contents far too many times. It could be a spelling error, HTML coding mistakes, making adjustments to alignment or maybe adding another link to my post. At times, I find it tedious to open up the HTML page over and over again just to add in a line or two into my post. I'm now using a simple content management and syndication tool from texty.com. The text editor is so user friendly. All I have to do is enter my text, copy and paste it on my blog. It will even test for coding issues for me! Isn't that marvelous?!

Now, with the help of texty.com ,I've no problem updating and editing my blog anymore!

Bringing the elderly on a vacation...

You should have looked at the sparks on my grandfather's eyes the moment my dad told him about the news that my sister and I will be accompanying him to Taiwan this coming October for a vacation.

I remembered when I was a little girl, my grandparents are always on the go! He used to travel around the world with grandma who loves to travel as much as him. Both of them will sign up with the tour agencies and travel across the globe for weeks. Occasionally, grandparents will even tag me along on short distance vacations. How blessed am I!

Few years back, grandma had a leg surgery and she's having difficulty walking for years. As for grandpa, due to his commitment to take care of grandma, he stopped travelling. We knew deep inside his heart, he still loves to see the world.

So, of course sister and I was really happy that we've the privilege to bring our dear grandpa to go on vacation again but we're just worried. We don't really want to join a tour. Grandpa is just too old to wake up wee early in the morning and walk for hours. He gets tired after a long walk, how can he cope with the rest of the energetic tourist in the group? To those who has been on a tour before, you'll understand what I'm trying to tell here. We're not sending grandpa on a army camp. We want him to enjoy this trip the relaxing way. So, I'm doing a little early preparation here to customise a trip that suits an elderly. Let's forget about joining a tour, we're heading on a free and easy trip.
