Lychee Earl Grey Iced Tea
Today, I would like to share X-T's latest addiction with all of you. It all started off with his first sip of Lychee Earl Grey Tea at Pan Bakery during one of our weekend dinners. Honestly, it was really refreshing and after sipping one mouth full from his choice of drink that day, I wouldn't even want to let go of the straw!
Lychee Earl Grey Iced Tea from Pan Bakery, PJ State
Since X-T is so head-over-heels
MY 1st EXPERIMENT
I started off with Earl Grey Tea and a can of lychee.
I put 1 teabag in a mug of warm water for a few minutes. Discard teabag.
Pour the tea into two tall glasses.
Add in some lychee and also fill up the cup with the lychee syrup. Ice was added.
THE VERDICT: The taste is QUITE similar to the one we had but there's STILL SOMETHING LACKING in the drink.
My 2nd ATTEMPT
This time around, I added HONEY into the concoction before dividing the tea evenly into two tall glasses.
Tips: To enhance the flavor of your tea, you also can add in Yeo's packet lychee drink into your tea instead of the lychee syrup from the can. If you want to mix, it tasted even better! :)

New Zealand Natural
I was very upset because Kungfu Panda is ALWAYS fully booked. Since there's nothing much to do and the shops are going to close in an hour time, we went to chill ourselves up at one of our favourite ice cream parlour..
Yeah baybee.. NZ Natural for us anytime!
But then hor, of all the yummy flavors NZ Natural has to offer.. XT will only go for one and only...
Their ROCKY ROAD was his favourite! As for me, I pick my flavor according to my mood.
Here's XT's favourite Rocky on a cone while I enjoy my 'view' on the ice covered floor ;)

Dynasty Hotel, Kuala Lumpur
It was my great grand aunt's 80th birthday and we get a chance to enjoy a night stay at the family suite @ The Dynasty Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Well, the room was just OK and nothing to brag about except the part where the room wasn't cleaned when we checked in at 4:30pm that afternoon! Empty mineral water bottles were lying everywhere and the bedroom was in a complete mess! I rang the room service department and requested for a change of room. Well, the service was rather quick, in less than 10 minutes, we're in another clean suite.
Since there's nothing much to do in this hotel and the dinner is at 7:30pm, we started to hunt for teatime snacks. Ah ha! We spotted Cafe Biscotti and thought we'll just give it a try...
Here's our coffee & teh tarik (pulled milk tea) comes in big mugs
The cakes we ordered...
Their signature Prune cheese cake was heavenly!
Peach tart was so-so as the pastry was a too dry..
Stawberry marble cheesecake? L'abeille will never say no to anything with STAWBERRIES on it! Oh yummy..
After tea, there's still time left, so we took the lift all the way up to the OASIS on the roof..
Hope to bump into some muchos in speedos showing off their 6 paxs and bikini girls splashing water at each other.. *bummer* The waters was rather still and "empty" that afternoon *yawn*
So we ended up gazing at this view until dinner time... *yawn x2*

Berry Strawberry Topping
Well, I know I can get strawberry toppings or sauce for my dessert at the supermarket but why I'm not doing so is because those sold off-the-shelf is way too sweet for me. This time around, I've decided to make my own strawberry topping minimizing sugar with EXTRA strawberries!
Wash a handful of strawberries
The strawberries were hulled and split into halves. Please them in a saucepan and turn on the stove to medium heat.
Add in balsamic vinegar. Strawberries and balsamic vinegar are match made in heaven!
Instead of sugar, I've added maple syrup to the boiling strawberries
Turn down the heat and boil the stawberries for 15 minutes or until the strawberries caramelised.
It was said to be the second most expensive spice in the world, next to saffron! So please, when you scrape the seeds off the pod, make sure you don't leave any tiny bits behind.. :)
Split 1 vanilla pod and add in the seeds into the boiling sauce. You may want to boil it together with the pod for extra flavor. Turn off the heat immediately and DO NOT LET IT BOIL.
Here's the strawberry topping for my ice cream. You can even spread it on bread or pancakes.
Strawberries are high in vitamin C, manganese and dietary fiber. There also have a high rate of antioxidant power. So, here's a very good excuse for you to indulge in strawberry desserts often...Errr... homemade ones with less sugar of course!

Yong Ann Bird's Nest Shop, Malacca
We spotted a little corner shop sitting behind Christ Church, Melaka. We were curious to check out the bird's nest egg tarts.

A lady was there preparing the egg tart pastries. Since it was a hot day, we thought of resting our tired feet inside the restaurant with some desserts.

We were a little disappointed to know that those bird's nest pastries sitting on the shelf all sold out. Since we're already there, X-T and I decided to tryout some desserts from their menu.

Out of curiosity, we ordered the Yong Ann bird's nest ice-cream. You see the whitish jelly on top of the vanilla ice cream? That's bird nest. Nothing special at all...in fact, there's traces of ice inside the ice cream. That dark piece of chocolate? Mmmm... no comments!
NEXT..
X-T ordered the ginseng bird nest drink.. Trust me, it tasted like water!
FINALLY...
Honey Bird's nest drink. Well, thank goodness this one was 'drinkable'.

A spoonful of bird's nest..
Anyway, they did managed to quench our thirst that afternoon but we will only be visiting them one more time for the bird's nest egg tarts in the near future..

I'm sick but I want this!
My whole body is aching, my throat sores like there's a bunch of thumbtacks stuck in my throat. My food is tasteless and my eyes are watery. I've only one thing in my mind that is to hold a icy cold tub of BR with lots and lots of yummy topping on it. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh but I can't! CRAP!

Bubble Tea -Taiwan
It's already 11pm in Tai Chung and yet the Taiwanese were queuing up to grab a cuppa milk tea at one of the many shops in the city.
Big straws for big pearls and small straws for mini ones.
*The chewy balls are called "pearls"*
If you can understand what the tag line is trying to tell..
please enlighten me *scratch head*
Here's my cuppa original bubble tea with lots and lots of pearl.. *Slurpppppppp*

A Passion for passion fruit juice
I'm bored of the boring ice blended juices but at the same time, I'm also bored of eating these fruit as it is because I bought too many!
Desolve a tablespoon of honey with water. Add in the diluted honey into the cubed passion fruits. (Do not add water)
*Burps! opps.... want some?!*
