Mission Downsizing Continues...
Yesterday evening, my aunt sent a photo of me taken 2 years back. I was a little emotional looking at the photo *wipe wipe tears*, I told myself........... "I've made it!"..............
Hah! You must be wondering what nonsense I'm talking about huh?
I was on a mission since beginning of July 2005. I set a goal, I prayed for physical strength and willpower [YUP! I WAS THAT DESPERATE]. You laugh all you want but hor, I said God, make me lose 2 kgs and I'll be a happy girl. Why? Because nobody believes that I could do it. Even friends told me that my bones are big and I've too much stubborn fats in me, I won't be able to go any smaller. I started gym in July 2007, I begin to eat healthier during weekdays, I did everything I could just to get rid of my first 2 kgs.....guess what? I see no changes in me at all. I continued going to the gym and persistently sticking to my diet plan. Well, great...I remember weighting 1-2kgs lighter on my 3rd month. Phew! That was truly a great motivation for me to move on to achieve my ideal weight.
8 months later
Still chubby but my pants, shorts and skirts are beginning to drop. Retail therapy begins!
One year later
At the end of July 2006 I finally made it to the ideal weight according to the BMI chart. Woot! The double chin's gone *smiles*
Out of vanity, I continue my exercise routine and eating healthy for the next one year. If you're reading my blog all these while, you'll noticed I didn't stop eating or stop trying out new dishes at home. All I did was using cooking using healthier alternatives like replacing white rice with 10 grain rice, peanut oil to extra virgin olive oil and eating out in moderation ;)
2nd Sept 2007
From the way I smile , you know I'm overjoyed with my progress ......20kgs gone! woohoo!
Let's see what happens in July 2008...I promise I won't turn into a skeleton geh ...muahahaha
So, my dear readers whom I know who's in a process of losing the extra pounds, remember...losing weight can be a very slow process. There's no short cut to achieving your ideal weight. We can never run away from eating healthily and exercising at least 3 times a week. All we need is a little patience and persistence!
Nothing is impossible unless we make it impossible! Agree?
KAMPATE!
