Mission Downsizing Continues...

Yesterday evening, my aunt sent a photo of me taken 2 years back. I was a little emotional looking at the photo *wipe wipe tears*, I told myself........... "I've made it!"..............

Hah! You must be wondering what nonsense I'm talking about huh?

NAH!

This "WAS" L'abeille two years ago. This is not a photoshop-ed picture of myself, I didn't stretch the photo..that's me L'abeille!! Ok..I can't even convince myself that THAT lady was actually me!!

I was on a mission since beginning of July 2005. I set a goal, I prayed for physical strength and willpower [YUP! I WAS THAT DESPERATE]. You laugh all you want but hor, I said God, make me lose 2 kgs and I'll be a happy girl. Why? Because nobody believes that I could do it. Even friends told me that my bones are big and I've too much stubborn fats in me, I won't be able to go any smaller. I started gym in July 2007, I begin to eat healthier during weekdays, I did everything I could just to get rid of my first 2 kgs.....guess what? I see no changes in me at all. I continued going to the gym and persistently sticking to my diet plan. Well, great...I remember weighting 1-2kgs lighter on my 3rd month. Phew! That was truly a great motivation for me to move on to achieve my ideal weight.

8 months later

Still chubby but my pants, shorts and skirts are beginning to drop. Retail therapy begins!

One year later

At the end of July 2006 I finally made it to the ideal weight according to the BMI chart. Woot! The double chin's gone *smiles*

Out of vanity, I continue my exercise routine and eating healthy for the next one year. If you're reading my blog all these while, you'll noticed I didn't stop eating or stop trying out new dishes at home. All I did was using cooking using healthier alternatives like replacing white rice with 10 grain rice, peanut oil to extra virgin olive oil and eating out in moderation ;)

2nd Sept 2007

From the way I smile , you know I'm overjoyed with my progress ......20kgs gone! woohoo!

Let's see what happens in July 2008...I promise I won't turn into a skeleton geh ...muahahaha

So, my dear readers whom I know who's in a process of losing the extra pounds, remember...losing weight can be a very slow process. There's no short cut to achieving your ideal weight. We can never run away from eating healthily and exercising at least 3 times a week. All we need is a little patience and persistence!

Nothing is impossible unless we make it impossible! Agree?
KAMPATE!

Stay healthy -Drink your veggies!

My lifestyle is extremely hectic. I'm a working young executive who leaves for work early in the morning, often skips my breakfast with just a cup of coffee because I spent too much time in the shower and the dressing room! As for lunch, well, I tried to eat healthily but often ending up grabbing food that is convenient, a quick and imbalanced meal! I'll head down to the gym right after work for my daily workout.By the time I reach home, usually I'll just end of having a piece of cream cracker and a glass of milk and call it a meal!! Well, I felt guilty for torturing my health in such a manner but I just couldn't find the time to eat properly. Talk about setting the right "priorities" in life, healthy living should be one of the top priority in everybody's life, right?

I was extremely excited and I felt a sense of relieved when I get to know about My Daily Veggies™ and I can't wait to share this with you. Oh my Knee!

The rain was heavy on my way home this evening. It was so heavy I could hardly see the road in front of me. I'm feeling really grouchy lately because I've yet to recover from a meniscus tear on my left knee. Still on a week supply of pain killers and 3 months supply of supplements. No joke, 6 tabs a day!

Well, initially when the doctor said "REST", I took his words lightly. He continued his sentence by telling me
that I might require arthroscopic surgery to prevent further damage to the whole joint and its stability if I continue to feel the sharp pain. It freaks me up and sets chill to my young bones when he said rehabilitation following surgery will vary depending on the extent of the meniscal damage wor! Oh gosh, I better OBEY...

I've been resting reluctantly for the past 1 week. Doctor said I should be able to resume dancing after I finish my pain killer tabs but I shouldn't be doing any hip hop for the next 6 weeks. Till date, it's already my 10th day of "endorphin-less" evening due to the lack of booty shaking sessions.... 'tick-tock', 'ticky-ticky tock'.... wake me up in 6 weeks time OK! *$#*&@*&#@

This evening was special. Most of my weekday evenings, I'll just return home to my greens [salad] which X-T refers to as "wabbit food" ...............BUT lo and behold, today as I return home soaking wet inside out, there's a lovely smell coming out of my very own kitchen. Sis walked out of the kitchen holding a plate of low fat, high protein, extremely aromatic plate of chow and she said... "Tt's for you, sis"... *Aiseh man...I can feel the warmth and it's almost able to dry out my soaked clothing"

Let's check out what La Ratatouille Wannabe cook for today..

A serving of cheese-less macaroni omelette with sliced beef sausages & crabstick cutlets on greens. [It wasn't oily yet it's very juicy because the eggs was not overcooked. The beef sausages were cooked to perfection and the greens... she's using basalmic dressing today with a hint of lemon juice]

After such a nice meal, was I mentioning about the knee pain earlier? What pain? Nah...small matter!

Draw a house

Based on your drawing and the 10 answers you gave this is a summary of your personality:
Your house tells the world that you ought to be a leader. You are a freedom lover and a strong person. You are shy and reserved. If you've drawn a cross on each of windows, you always want to live alone. You are very tidy person. There's nothing wrong with that because you're pretty popular among friends. son.

When it comes to love, you shut yourself off. It's difficult to win your heart because you have decided to keep your feelings deep inside. You see the world as it is, not as you believe it should be.

You added a flower into your drawing. The flower signifies that you long for love. We also see that you are sensuous, sexual, and privately passionate. You don't think much about yourself.

I've done my drawing...now it's your turn...

Exotic dancing for L'abeille?

As usual, I rushed to the gym immediately after work. Dressed down and goes straight to the gym's dance studio....

6pm sharp, a Chinese lady walked into the room with a pair of sexy white heels announcing to the class that she's replacing my Brazilian dance instructor for the day.. Mmm, at that moment..I was thinking "it doesn't matter who's teaching lah, I just wanna sweat it all out... right?"

WRONG!!!!

I really wanna know where this so called replacement "instructor" came from... ahem...

Her first instruction was "Ladies with long hair, let your hair down" because we're gonna do this...

Swing your head to the back, follow the rhythm.....sway your hair all to the front, tilt your butt to the back...legs slightly apart (I said "SLIGHTLY", legs open too wide will make you look like a constipated sumo wrestler) and finally, lift your head up facing the front with two hands touching your.........erm...tummy and finally, lift both hands up the air..
Goodness, she said this is very very "EASY"!

Photo "pimjam-ed" from this website (I was just trying to show you a similar choreography we did). I didn't take any photo of the dance session because everybody was too "busy".

What else we learned? Well, we were trained to glide hands up the straight leg and raising our head over the corresponding shoulder to look back at the "invisible" audience. Next, we need to smack our butt and rub knees on the wooden floor like a boneless monkey who needs to go to the loo..... or man called that "sexy"?

Oh wait a minute...a guy walked into the dance studio and started dancing together with the group... Eww...just imagine a guy doing all those exotic movements.... blurks...disgusting! No, he ain't gay!

Surprisingly, today...my entire body is aching, especially the waist, lower abdomen and hips area. It was a good dance experience for me BUT a little too embarrassing! Maybe I should only practice such choreography behind close doors?

Keys to unlock the heart

Feeling bored on a Sunday afternoon, so I did some self test/check....

You are attracted to good manners and elegance.

In love, you feel the most alive when your partner is patient and never willing to give up on you.

You'd like to your lover to think you are loyal and faithful... that you'll never change.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.

Your ideal relationship is open. Both of you can talk about everything... no secrets.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.

In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily.

What's my love style?

Your Love Style is Agape

You are a caring, kind, and selfless partner.
Unsurprisingly, your love style is the most rare.
You are willing to sacrfice your world for your sweetie.
Except it doesn't really feel like sacrifice to you.
For you, nothing feels better than giving to the one you love.
What about yours?

P/S: These test are not 100% true...but it's kinda fun.. :))

Crown of glory - Straight or Curls?

Been very faithful keeping my dark long hair for years & I guess it's time to change?!? Thought of getting a wavy perm but there are 101 types of curls in the market and I just can't decide....

A wrong decision will caused me to...

1) Taking "false" 2 months maternity leave (slim chances)

2) Having bad hair days for the next 6 months

3) Need to cancel all my MPO performances? :p

4) Buy a wig

Sigh...decisions...decisions...decisions...

My precious give aways....

Since the transformation, I've been giving away all my old clothings gradually. I've been checking on the set of clothings that I bought 3 months ago and I need to give away too...

Here's 1/4 of my wardrobe content that needs to be given away, these are mostly work wear and casual blouses ...any taker?

My all time favourite jeans.. two out of five are levis (bought during CNY 2006) and the rest are PDI's. Will be given away as well..

Here comes my precious few collections...

A DKNY dress I bought during warehouse sale, Victoria Secret floral dress, my dinner gown and my British India's lil black dress... It' either I bring them all for alteration or...ALL will be given away too... arghhhhhh

Here they are...nicely packed and ready to leave my wardrobe...

I'm left with a naked wardrobe in need of serious replenishment..
