Ding Tai Fung @ The Gardens

Everybody was at the 'gates' of Ding Tai Fung @ The Gardens. This restaurant is very famous in Taiwan for their Siew Long Pau (SLP) - Steamed meat dumplings. I love delicious juicy SLP but unfortunately most of the restaurants here in Malaysia somehow made their SLP looked and tasted like Siew Mai!!

Some even left their precious son in strollers unattended while waiting for their numbers being called..*Sigh*

The hungry crowd waiting for their 'number' being called.

i
The traditional siew loong pau requires 18 pleats!
It is supposed to look like a chrysanthemum flower. They pleat too fast! I can't see ;)

You will be given an order sheet to be filled while waiting for your number.

"Number 56..number 56... Your table is ready!"

My precious...my lovely..cute...warm...juicy little Siew Long Paussss...

Pork Siew Long Pau
One of the best SLP I've tried around Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.
If only there's more soup in the pau, it would be PERFECT!

Crab meat Siew Long Pau
I think this is better than the one with only pork filing.

Thousand Layer Cake
If you love bread, you'll love this dessert. Its not sweet and it's fluffy! But no, I've counted a few times and I can confirm that there's less than 10 layers on each piece!
P/s: Will definitely try the original Ding Tai Fung restaurant when I reach Taipei!! :S
